Seamless aluminium

Aluminium Gutters: Seamless Runs

Seamless aluminium gutters are formed on site in one length per run, so there are no joints to leak. They cost €1,200 to €3,400 on a semi, or €55 to €90 a metre fitted, about double uPVC.

Free, no obligation. One local company prices it, not five.

  • €1,200 to €3,400a semi, seamless aluminium
  • €55 to €90a metre, fitted
  • 0joints along a seamless run
  • 2xroughly the price of uPVC

Seamless

One length per run

A van-mounted machine rolls the gutter from a coil of powder-coated aluminium on site, cut to the exact length of each side of the house. With no joints along the run, there's nothing to drip. Corners and outlets are still joints, sealed and riveted.

Colours and finish

Powder coated, no painting

Anthracite, black and white are the usual colours, with matching downpipes. The powder coating doesn't need painting. Aluminium won't go brittle in the sun the way cheap plastic does.

Is it worth it?

When aluminium pays

On a long run, a two-storey house where access is dear, or a house you're staying in, aluminium's extra cost buys a gutter that outlasts uPVC. On a small terrace, uPVC at €600 to €1,900 for a semi is usually the sensible choice.

FAQ

Questions we get asked

How much do seamless gutters cost?

€1,200 to €3,400 on a semi-detached house, fitted.

Do aluminium gutters rust?

No. Aluminium doesn't rust, and the powder coating protects the finish.

Can seamless gutters go on any house?

Most. The machine needs to get near the house to roll the lengths, and very long runs may need a joint.
